One Of Bullish Investors In EMC Corporation (NYSE:EMC) Revealed

Boston, MA 07/07/2014 (wallstreetpr) – EMC Corporation (NYSE:EMC) remains under pressure in the Storage sector. The stock has also traded back and forth over the past month. However, there are still opportunities in the stock that can make patient investors rich, at least if the recent revelation by Becker Capital Management is anything to consider.

Discussing why Becker Capital Management thinks EMC Corporation is an attractive investment, Marian Kessler said the stock has underperformed the market over the past two years and that gives the company room to grow in the future. Furthermore, the company’s balance sheet is strong with $14 billion in cash and cash yield at 11 percent. She said that makes EMC Corporation their choice especially because of the cash position at $14 billion compares with debt of just about $5 billion.

Shares of EMC Corporation (NYSE:EMC) rose 0.82 percent to $26.92 apiece, leading to a one-year gain of nearly 12 percent.

Enough to stay stable

According to Kessler, they stock selectors who do fundamental research and lately they have been focusing on technology companies of which EMC Corporation is among the stocks they have discovered as doing enough to stay stable and also grow in the future. Another interesting thing in the stock is that Kessler thinks it is inexpensive, and its return on capital and cash flow are encouraging.

In addition to a stake in EMC Corporation (NYSE:EMC) in the technology space, Becker Capital Management also has an interest in AT&T Inc. (NYSE:T) and Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) among its top five tech picks.

Others in EMC

EMC Corporation (NYSE:EMC) is also in the portfolio of Aristeia Capital that held about 10 million shares in the company as of the end of March 2014.

Increased focus on improving performance in the Storage sector should help EMC Corporation expand its market share and boost revenue. The company reports its 2Q2014 on July 23.
