News Update: Towers Watson & Co (NYSE:TW); TowerJazz ; Green Technology Solutions, Inc. (OTCBB:GTSO)

Boston, MA 10/08/2014 (wallstreetpr) – Israeli specialty foundry operator TowerJazz and research institute Korea Electrotechnology Research Institute announced on 7th October that their ongoing collaboration in the research and development sector has resulted in the creation of a new “CMOS image sensor”.  The research firm is a not for profit entity. It draws its research funds from the Republic of Korea. The joint statement indicated that the newly designed product is all set for a commercial launch over the next few weeks. The working relationship between TowerJazz and Korea Electrotechnology can be traced back to 2009, when the two firms had collaborated to share “pixel IP, special R&D assistance.” The collaboration has led to the development of medical imaging equipment which is pending commercial launch in their target markets.

Insurance services facilitator and connected car services provider Intelligent Mechatronic Systems announced on 7th October that it has been contracted by professional services firm Towers Watson & Co (NYSE:TW) to provide “usage-based insurance” to its DriveAbility® program clients. The tie up enables “DriveAbility 2.0 score” which is a unique algorithm proprietary to Towers Watson (NYSE, NASDAQ: TW) to integrate with DriveSync® connected car platform which is developed by Intelligent Mechatronic Systems. The tie up allows singed up users to plug the DriveSync® pen drive into the vehicle. The drive then will start to measure various parameters like “distance, time acceleration and braking patterns.”

Green Technology Solutions, Inc. (OTCBB:GTSO) announced on 7th October that it has released a letter of intent which formalizes it decision to tie up with an emerging agro-tech firm Mother Parker’s Soil, which specialises in growing cannabis plants. The move comes on the back of the decision taken by the management team of Green Technology Solutions, Inc. (OTCBB: GTSO) to fully explore the hemp and cannabis sector in  U.S. Mother Parker’s Soil specializes in developing new horticultural practices which helps customers in developing organic soil. The tie up is expected to help the two firm’s pool in resources to enter the potential $10 billion hemp market in U.S.
