Network Convergence System Launched By Cisco Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ:CSCO)

The product will play an important role in helping service providers easily manage their continuously growing data along with the voice traffic. According to Cisco Systems Inc. , Network Convergence System would act as an important measure to make the internet smoother and easy to manage in this rapidly growing world of internet traffic due to increase in the number of smartphones, internet based apps and cloud computing.

On the official release of Network Convergence System, Sanjay Rohatgi, who works for Cisco India as MD for Service Provider Sales and SAARC said that Network Convergence System is surely an amazing solution for all service providers who are targeting to develop efficient networks, applications and data centres. Network Convergence System would provide a lead to the service providers in India who are presently struggling with several challenges hindering their growth. In India almost all the service providers are facing issues like continuously rising traffic in data, video and voice along with spectrum crunch.

Network Convergence System caters all these challenges and besides, all this it reduces the cost for data handling by nearly 45% for the service providers thereby, increasing the resource utilization for them. Sanjay Rohatgi further added that they have already started discussions with service providers in India about Network Convergence System and how it can help improving their networks and making them robust. On the other hand service providers have given Cisco Systems Inc. positive response, though he avoided revealing any names.

Sanjeev Mervana who is Senior Director, Service Provider Products & Solutions for Cisco Systems Inc. revealed that NCS is capable of developing a highly programmable network when used in combination with Cisco’s Management and Orchestration Software.
