(ADR) (NYSE:MTU), on May 14, 2014 announced that Katsumi Hatao will serve as the new CEO for Americas overseeing The Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ (BTMU) as well as the Union Bank, N.A. Katsumi Hatao will start serving as the CEO for the said designation with effect from July 1, 2014. Both The Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ (BTMU) and Union Bank, N.A. corresponds with overall U.S. banking operations under Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group, Inc. umbrella as MUFG Union Bank, N.A.
Katsumi Hatao, apart from being the CEO of MUFG Union Bank, N.A. and MUFG Americas Holding Corporation, will also hold the designation of the President of both these banks. It is important to note that all the Americas banking activities of The Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ will now be seen by MUFG Americas Holdings Corporation, which was earlier named UnionBanCal Corporation.
