Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) Will Control Windows 10 Mobile Updates, Cutting Out Carriers

Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) has made a resolution to handle Windows 10 mobile updates once the interface is out, without the influence of external parties.

The software giant had claimed it would take total control of the update processes about five years ago. This time the company plans to stick to its word. The move is aimed at taking back control from carriers who used to assist in handling the update releases.

Among the news released about the updates was Microsoft’s update release in terms of how often the company plans to release them. According to a press release by one of the company spokespersons, the company will include updates for both Windows 10 Enterprise and Windows 10 mobile.

More to that, the company will provide all updates as well as making the final decision about the timing and releases. The spokesperson went ahead to reveal that Microsoft is not edging out the carriers. Individuals who register with the carriers like the insider programs will still benefit from early releases.

The carriers will still remain in the vicinity where they will be involved with the software trials and testing. The company’s Elite Dogfood group will be instrumental in assisting Microsoft to identify the best time to release these updates.

The new changes will allow Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) to dish out all the updates simultaneously to all windows devices and over all the carriers. This move will not open up room for fragmentation. Despite the good news for the company, it is not so much of good news to Windows phone owners running Windows 8.1 on their devices. This is because they will not be able to upgrade to the new interface until the carriers introduce the updates.

According to Microsoft’s report the new measures will give the company a chance to enhance the security protocols. Overall the tech Giant software company looks to refine its services and improve on its delivery system.
