Consumer and devices segment enjoyed a wonderful holiday season surpassing overall market performance. Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) outgoing CEO Steve Balmer has been quick to emphasis the need for this segment to continue providing quality services to its consumers to ensure it is able to meet its goals in terms of revenue collection. The consumer and devices segment delivered record revenue for the second quarter enabling the stock rise in the market as a result.  Devices and consumer segment experienced a growth of 13% to record total revenues of $11.91 billion. The increase in sales was hugely contributed by the massive sale of Xbox one which recorded total sales of 7.4 million.
