Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) Says Its Matter Center For Office 365 Lifts Productivity Of Law Firms

The company had showcased a preview version during the International Legal Technology Association or ILTA conference in Nashville, Tennessee.

Advantages For Legal Firms

The company had listed the advantages of using the cloud-based applications even while using its familiar productivity tools that the law firms normally use utmost. It works on OneDrive offering 1 TB of individual storage facilities to Business apart from a personal briefcase that routinely synchronizes the documents so that the user would be in a position to access them both online, as well as, offline from practically any device.

Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) said that the application would allow the law firms to share files with others, i.e. both within the firm and outside the firm. The law professionals can continue to work on the documents with other lawyers and track changes without any hurdles by its automatic version control.

Cuts Overhead Costs

Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) also allayed any fears about the security aspect. It said that the users would be either granted or excluded from access to matter. The subsequent documents connected with the matter would also come into the same permissions, which would cut down the worries on data leakage, as well as, ethical walls.

The software giant indicated that its cloud-application would help the law firms to cut down its administrative resources required to sustain a document management system thus allowing the attorneys to focus more time with their clients.
