Meru Networks, Inc (NASDAQ:MERU) down by 11.22%

Boston, MA 05/20/2013 (wallstreetpr) – Friday’s trading session saw Meru Networks, Inc (NASDAQ:MERU) climbing down by 11.22%. It opened at a price of $3.96 which reached an intraday high of $4.03 before heading down to close at $3.54 per share. In excess of 0.493 million shares exchanged hands in the previous trading session. This figure stood above the average volume of 0.333 million that was measured over a 30-day period.

MERU provides a virtualized wireless LAN (local area network) solution. It enables various enterprises to migrate the applications they have, from wired networks over to wireless networks. This helps them in becoming an All-Wireless Enterprise. Meru Networks, Inc (NASDAQ:MERU)’s solution allows wireless networking to enterprises who use virtualization technology, to go ahead and create a wireless network. This solution is designed in such a manner that it provides users access to their applications. The virtualized wireless LAN solution that it provides is built around the System Director Operating System. This system runs on access points and controllers. The other products that Meru Networks, Inc (NASDAQ:MERU) offers are designed to deliver predictive and proactive diagnostics, centralized network management and security. In 2011 September, MERU acquired Identity Networks.

The System Director Operating System comprises the core of its virtualized wireless LAN solution. It is a common software foundation that operates on the scalable range of controllers that the company has and a line of Wi-Fi-certified wireless access points. It also provides control and centralized coordination of all the access points that exist on the network.
