McDonald’s Corporation (NYSE:MCD) Canada To Start Selling Java in Grocery Stores

Boston, MA 09/17/2014 (wallstreetpr) – The market conditions for a world-class coffee are never too bad. Take the example of McDonald’s Corporation (NYSE:MCD) and the story can be cleared right at the moment. According to reports, MCD has decided to start selling its McCafe ground coffee in Canada. The information was revealed by the company on Tuesday saying that it was part of its global campaigning to win a bigger and broader market share in Canada. According to MCD, Canada had always been dominated by rival brands like Starbucks Corp and Tim Hortons Inc; hence, the launch of Java in the grocery store was an effort to acquire a bigger market share than ever.

It’s a plan not a sudden step:

The Canadian market has transformed in past few years, especially the coffee segment. The rivals of McDonald’s Corporation (NYSE:MCD) have already entered into fast-food segment in order to acquire more customers than the biggest fast food chain of the world. Due to increased market competition, MCD has finally decided to put its best and most acclaimed coffee brand in Canadian market in the hope that it would help the company to establish its roots in the domestic market firmly.

According to John Betts, Chief Executive Officer of McDonald’s Corporation (NYSE:MCD) Canada, everybody is running after customers these days; therefore, MCD will have to be innovative and a step ahead than its rivals to maintain its top-notched place in the market. Not only McDonald’s Corporation (NYSE:MCD), but other well-established brands are also trying their best to acquire more than others market-share. Recently Tim Hortons, which is served in eight out of ten cups of coffee that are served in Canada, announced a new coffee blend. The company has been in the market for more than fifty years, but it is only the second coffee blend that Tim Hortons has introduced. The main reason behind it is nothing but the increased market competition.
