McDermott International (NYSE:MDR) has successfully built and tested the first specialty valve. McDermott has started with the acceptance testing process of the second valve which is expected to get ready in September. All the six valves have to clear the factory testing and after that two of them will be placed offshore in 270 meters of water and the other four specialty valves will be installed onshore. The three onshore valves will be installed at the processing facility at Bladin Point, and the fourth onshore valve will be installed at the landfall block valve.
