Boston, MA 01/29/2014 (wallstreetpr) – Annaly Capital Management, Inc. (NYSE:NLY): Analysts are not letting investors dump NLY at will. It is true that mortgage REITs have had a rough run over the past recent months. But that notwithstanding, Annaly Capital Management, Inc. (NYSE:NLY) and other mREITs have great chances to deliver superior results to investors. These potentials may not be very open to every eye to see, but you can rest assured that analysts are not deceiving anyone when they say that those who are already invested in NLY should stop panicking and those considering a stake in mREITs should not fear to make a move.
Barrick Gold Corporation (USA) (NYSE:ABX) is not out of the woods yet. However, its lift from the mining industry quagmire is attractive. The adjustments which the company recently made to its operations are beginning to bear fruits as exiting low-margin plants is lifting margins and helping the stock gain stability. It is worth noting that the stock still stands a significant gap away from its 52-week high, nonetheless it is improving. Perhaps this explains why analysts at Deutsche Bank have reiterated their rating on the stock and planted a price target of $25 which suggests potential 34.92 percent upside. Investors are wise to have Barrick Gold Corporation (USA) (NYSE:ABX) under the radar because any improvement in the mining industry is going to have corresponding benefit on this stock.
Twenty-First Century Fox Inc (NASDAQ:FOXA) is not leaving anything to chance in efforts to boost its portfolio in the lucrative sports entertainment business. The company has announced plans to increase its stake in Yankees Entertainment and Sports Network (YES) to 80 percent. FOXA currently owns 49 percent stake in YES. There is no doubt that YES presents attractive prospects and it will be even better that the current CEO Tracy Dolgin is retained as Twenty-First Century Fox Inc (NASDAQ:FOXA) has indicated. FOXA is looking at a business environment that is getting increasingly competitive and thus the need to look elsewhere to secure the future.
