Boston, MA 08/06/2014 (wallstreetpr) – Build-A-Bear Workshop, Inc (NYSE:BBW)’s CEO Sharon John has Joined Jack in the Box Inc. (NASDAQ:JACK). effective September 2014. She will become a part of Jack’s board of directors. As of now she is looking after the operations of interactive entertainment retailer who has got present worldwide with annual sales of around $400 million.
The experience
Ms. John will continue to serve as the CEO of Build-A-Bear Workshop, Inc (NYSE:BBW). John has got experience of almost 25 years in the field of branding, retail marketing and executive management. Ms. John will join Jack in the Box, Inc.’s board of directors effective September 18, while continuing in her role as CEO of Build-A-Bear, Inc. She has worked in the public as well as private sectors. When she joined Build-A-Bear in 2013, she already had the experience of working as President of the Stride Rite Children’s Group. She has worked three years with the company. It is a retail footwear segment of Wolverine with a worldwide presence of around 300 stores in the U.S. and the other regions.
The interest in toys segment
She was a part of Hasbro Inc. from 2002 to 2010. She has the experience of being on different management roles. She has been the Senior VP of the U.S. Toy division. She took care of different areas and a wide variety of brands including Transformers, Nerf and My Little Pony.
The new role
She possessed the experience of working in the U.S. toy division since 1999 when she was the VP of Product and Marketing segment in Vtech Holdings Ltd. John was also an entrepreneur as she started her toy company named as Checkerboard Toys. After that she went ahead and became the CEO of Hasbro. John was an integral part of Disney’s business unit. She has got expertise in working with marketing and advertising agencies. Jack will certainly get the benefit of John’s position held in Build-A-Bear Workshop, Inc (NYSE:BBW) and other companies in last 25 years.
