LIN TV Corp. (NYSE:TVL) surges by 20%

LIN TV in an attempt to revamp its top management brass has made a couple of announcement. It had recently announced  that René LaSpina be named as the new President and GM of WIVB-TV and WNLO-TV located in Buffalo, New York,  which is the 52nd largest television market in U.S.

Ms. LaSpina is a proficient broadcast executive bringing to the company 20 years of experience in television station management. In her new role which shall be immediately effective, Ms. LaSpina will offer strategic direction, leadership and operational management for WIVB-TV and WNLO-TV.

Also, announced that Kimberly Davis is the new Vice President Human Resources succeeding Daniel Donohue, retiring from July 5, 2013, completing a decade full of service at LIN Media.

As a part of the Company’s executive management group, Ms. Davis will be entrusted with developing and executing strategic initiatives aimed at employees that sustains and helps grow the company’s overall business strategy. In addition to it, she will provide support and leadership to all business units in matters related to human resources, including human resource management, health and wellness, compensation and benefits diversity, and employee relations.
