Boston, MA 08/28/2014 (wallstreetpr) – According to reports, JPMorgan Chase & Co. (NYSE:JPM) and four other major banks were attacked by the hackers with an objective to steal important customer information. A U.S. official said that last month had been very difficult for the security agencies and concerned government departments as JPM, and at least four other banks were attacked by hackers. It could have gone worse had the government would have ignored it.

What could be the motive behind it:

The main objective of this attack was but to steal information about bank accounts and cards. Two officials who disclosed this information refused to disclose their name as the investigation was not over. Hackers tried to attack employees’ and customers’ information to steal their account information and other sensitive data. Although the management said that JPM had very strong security system to fend off data thefts. Patricia Wexler, Spokeswoman of JPMorgan Chase & Co.
