Is Iphone 5s a competition to Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOG)

Boston, MA 09/13/2013 (wallstreetpr) – There are many questions arising about the reaction of the market on the launch of iPhone 5c.One such critical question is due to this new competition, will Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOG) Android phones suffer a setback in their sales?

The answer is probably a no. A report from Digitimes showcases the whole thought in a different way. The reason behind this is that the pricing of these iPhones will not hinder the success of other brands like Samsung in entry level segment. Samsung, by the end of 2013, will come up with new models of phones and most of these are closely dependent on Google Inc Android operating system.

Why shouldn’t Google Inc be worried?

The launch of iPhone 5c will undoubtedly increase Cupertino’s market share at the end of 2013, but Android smartphones will also cover a good percentage of operating system market. For sure, the company is vigilant about the new competition, but it is predicted that the Cupertino launch will not be a very big setback to Google Inc.

Google trying to tackle antitrust probe to EU

After EU’s refusal to its previous offer of labeling its branded search services, Google has coined a new proposal for European Union antitrust probe, which is almost three year old. The proposal focuses on the four concerned areas for EU and is another try by Google to settle the case after the last try proved futile.

The Google rivals gave their opinion by saying that EU should have a talk with all industry participants before coming to a decision. There are further investigations going on for promoting their own specialized search services and whether proper agreements with other software companies are made or not.  There may be an order by the agency to improve the way the companies behave and operate other than the custom of fining companies for antitrust probes.
