Boston, MA 04/17/2014 (wallstreetpr) – Groupon Inc. (NASDAQ:GRPN) has launched a new deal that will be an ongoing collection of luxury items, going by the name Elite Deal Series. The deal will feature premium pricing schemes having been launched at a deal of $40 for $20 worth of the company’s bucks. Purchasers will earn $20 buck for buying any deal that amounts to the premium price of $40.

For the past five years, the company has been offering a wide range of offers to its customers ranging from luxury items such as diamonds rings to wedding packages. With the new deal, customers will be offered premium plus prices for purchases they make.

Groupon Inc. (NASDAQ:GRPN) is well positioned to gain from the ever growing e-commerce spending that has become characteristic of mobile devices. With the acquisition of Ticketmonster, opportunities can only be unlimited in this case.

Groupon Losses Divisional VP

Groupon has announced it has parted ways with its divisional, VP David Kerr, nearly 10 months into his appointment. David Kerr had been the company’s Vice president and General Manager for the home and auto category prior to announcing he was quitting to go back to his entrepreneurial roots.

Kerr is thought to have left the group for Indianapolis NoInk Communications where he will assume the role of COO His stepping down comes as Groupon announces it is partnering with Make It Right Organization, founded by Brad Pitt, as a way of building environmentally friendly homes for needy people.

Groupon Inc. (NASDAQ:GRPN) has already made a donation of $100,000 into the kitty while also kick starting two campaigns code named Groupon Grassroots campaign and Epic Deal. The grass root campaign will encourage broad public support by encouraging a $10 donation into the kitty.
