Boston, MA 06/18/2014 (wallstreetpr) – Global Eagle Entertainment Inc (NASDAQ:ENT) as well as Boeing, on June 17, 2014 entered into a new Technical Services Agreement (TSA) for the evaluation of Global Eagle Entertainment’s offer of installing satellite-based connectivity the airlines’ line-fit offer. The evaluation would be finished off during 2015.
Advantages of TSA to the airline customers
The TSA will prove to be very beneficial for the airline customers because if everything goes right, the customers will have an option to buy GEE connectivity system which will come pre-installed in the new fleet of Boeing 737 and 787 aircrafts. At present, GEE offers connectivity as well as content to the fleet of Ku-band satellite-connected aircraft, which is said to be largest in the world with the capacity of 550 planes flying over four continents. All these systems come with GEE systems.

The COO and CFO of the Global Eagle Entertainment Inc (NASDAQ:ENT), Dave Davis said that their company was glad to recognise Boeing for connectivity solutions for the purpose of evaluation. He added that the agreement highlights various benefits of the proven technology of GEE. He added that the agreement also demonstrates the increasing and higher demand for these connectivity solutions by the airlines.
