Boston, MA 05/28/2014 (wallstreetpr) – Provider of data and television services in the rural and small and medium cities and towns in the U.S., Frontier Communications Corp (NASDAQ:FTR) has disclosed the appointment of John Gianukakis as the vice president and treasurer of the company with immediate effect.
Appointment of Treasurer
The Frontier Communications Corp (NASDAQ:FTR)’s appointment of Gianukakis comes into immediate effect, and he will report to executive vice president and CFO John Jureller. He is joining the company with two and half decades of exposure in financial services, treasury, insurance, capital markets, investment and commercial banking, bank relationships and information technology.
Frontier Communications Corp (NASDAQ:FTR) expects the hiring of Gianukakis to strengthen its financial team and further improve its corporate treasury activities. His contributions in the field of pension investments, capital markets, and cash management are predicted to bolster its knowledge capability to enable it achieve better goals.
Previous Employers
Till recently, Gianukakis served Castleton Commodities International, which was part of the Louis Dreyfus Commodities Group, as senior vice president for finance and treasurer. He was responsible for looking after the treasury team that took care of cash management, liquidity, global debt capital markets, banking financial reporting and relationships besides insurance.
Between 1996 and 2010, Gianukakis served with International Business Machines Corp (NYSE:IBM) as its vice president for finance and assistant treasurer. His career at the provider of information technology services and products included business development director for its global services, and the Storage Systems Group, in which his role was to evaluate companies for merger and acquisition or alliance and or accelerate expansion plans.
His previous experience includes AIG Trading Group, Phibro Energy Corporation, and ContiChem Oil Trading. He has done his graduation at LehighUniversity with a B.S. in Business and Economics and M.B.A. in Finance at the University of Connecticut.
The appointment of Gianukakis came ten days after the annual meeting of the shareholders.
