FONU2 Inc (OTCMKTS:FONU) reported that in conjunction with Loochie Records & Publishing LLC and RKA Entertainment LLC, it will be making a documentary on the renowned Godfather of Soul, the founder of funk music, Mr. James Brown. Rolling Stone has named him as the ‘most sample artist’ of all time.
The details
FONU2 said that the documentary will showcase interviews with Brown’s family and friends, proprietary concert footage from his last live performance, along with interviews from music celebrities stating how Brown influenced them. Additionally, some of the film themes will be showcased including battles against racism, support and patriotism of the troops throughout the Vietnam War, and the multi-generational influence, impact and popularity of his music.
The terms of the deal cover shared rights on up to 16 never before launched songs performed by Brown. It is expected that many of these songs will be shown in the documentary, along with a soundtrack. FONU2 plans to commence the production of documentary film in November 2015.

In unrelated news, FONU2 reported that it signed a Letter to Intent to purchase the assets of SouthEast Props. Currently based in Wilmington, SouthEast Props is a prop rental house and set decoration offering services to the east coast television and film industry. Upon deal completion and assets relocation to Effingham County, FONU2 expects to become the largest Prop rental firm in Coastal Georgia.
The new restrictions of film tax credits in both North Carolina and Louisiana has created considerable new prospects for creating jobs and offering production services to films looking for motion picture infrastructure in region. FONU2’s segment will be managed by Adam Cameron and Matthew Sullivan. The acquisition is projected to close in the coming month.
