Expert Opinion

Senior principal analyst of the Enterprise Strategy Group, Jon Oltsik believes that the advanced security systems need to be safe, secure, easy to handle. And with that they should suit the pocket also. The combination of FireEye, Inc. (NASDAQ:FEYE)’s virtual-machine technology and IPS is an ideal example in this respect.

Unique combination

Conventional IPS tools are very outdated to find advanced threats. Generally security teams purchase IPS to satisfy the compliance obligations. FireEye’s Multi-vector Virtual Execution™ (MVX) engine has proven its worth in detecting advanced threat and is also added to the FireEye Network Threat Prevention Platform which also possesses IPS. This combination is very beneficial as it helps detect the threats, and it also allows security teams to complete compliance mandates.
