In this campaign FITB is showcasing three actual job seekers – Katrina Holmes, Elba Pena and Bill Laakkonen – who listens to the stories of the public and try to help them in returning to some meaningful employment. This campaign also features the story of one of their customers Randall Jackson who is a Chicago resident and was able to find a job with the help of the Bank’s reemployment initiative with NextJob.

Further, during this campaignFifth Third Bancorp (NASDAQ:FITB) and Next Job are providing the unemployed job seekers with access to the online Job Seeker’s Toolkit so that every unemployed seeker can find jobs best suited for them. In addition to this initiative, FITB will also fund up to 53 coaching scholarships but only to those people who will apply through NextJob’s application tool. Whether an FITB customer or not – anyone can apply for these scholarships, which will aim to provide you with four months of personalized job search assistance.
Motivation behind such a campaign
This reemployment campaign was a solution of their question of how to help and support the unemployed people and more importantly how to get their customers back to work. Such a concern clearly illustrates the curiosity of FITB. This is not the first time when Fifth Third Bancorp (NASDAQ:FITB) has come up with such campaign. Rather, it first came up with this idea in 2012 to help its mortgage customers who were falling behind on their payments due to unemployment. Even that time too FITB helped such people with NextJob’s extensive job search assistance.
