Insights On The Matter:
According to him, the real work would not last for more than 50-60 hours a week, but if the definition of work were expanded than he would be working for the entire life. Someone asked him how many hours he works on a daily basis, to which Zuckerberg said that the answer would depend on what could be counted as work. He said that he liked thinking new and innovative ideas to connect the world and communities in a hassle-free way. But he couldn’t think for most of the time as he would have to attend meetings do ‘real work’ and travel across the world. He further added that he preferred to read as much as possible and think about new ideas by himself.
If you talk about the time he spends in office, then it’s not more than 50-60 hours a week. But if you talk about the time he spends thinking about growing his business, then it’s probably the entire life. CEOs are likely to spend more time in offices and not able to manage a good work-life balance; however, this is not the case with Zuckerberg. Even though he works a little more than the average Americans, but still managed to spend quality time with family.
During the Q&A round, he spoke about his $100 million donation to public school network as well as controversial subjects including net neutrality. He said that net neutrality was important to maintain in today’s time.
