Boston, MA 04/14/2014 (wallstreetpr) – Since the entry of the new app in the market, the times have been tough for Facebook Inc (NASDAQ:FB). But now it’s high time that we get to hear some good news. So Facebook this year has been following lead in order to improve its own messaging services. There have been announcements of acquisitions. Facebook wants to move on faster and take itself to whole new level. Lets hear out the plans.
Upgrading the App
After the awe-inspiring announcement made by Facebook that it is all set to acquire the multi-platform messaging service, WhatsApp at a mind boggling sum of $19 billion, the company still wants to compete. So Facebook has added a new feature to its messenger application. The upgrade is that the users would now be able to create permanent groups for people they message the most and text them for free. It has taken the chatting experience to the next level.
Now it seems as if Facebook has finally learnt the techniques from its rival companies. But that’s not all. Facebook has also introduced a new message forwarding service in its messenger application. Well, let’s wait and watch how much difference does it make in terms of addition of new users of the Facebook App.
Ads go bigger
Facebook Inc (NASDAQ:FB) recently has made an announcement that side tab for advertisements on Facebook will go bigger. This is because the ads seem smaller as compared to the updates on the newsfeed page currently making the ads a side-kick in front of them. This obviously does not seem profitable for Facebook.
However, Facebook has also made an announcement that the number of ads shown on one page will be reduced in number, so as to make the entire page look pleasant to the users and more spacious. Till now it would seem congested or as if a lot of information was fit into one page. These ads will now hopefully reach more viewers at a time, estimated to be more than the number of ads viewed on television. Now, that sounds huge.
Facebook enters hardware business
Facebook Inc (NASDAQ:FB) has made a deal with Occulus VR Inc and it seems that it is all set to enter the hardware industry and compete. Though Facebook does not have experience in hardware for consumers but it does have a lot of manufacturing experience.
