Tillerson, presented its annual holiday-gift of $50,000 to the Grapevine Relief & Community Exchange advancing the organizations relief efforts for its homeless clients and the families who have limited income. Tillerson said that GRACE makes a huge difference to hundreds of families in living in North Texas. He said that they hope that this gift from the company will add a boost to GRACE’s compassionate-service and to their neighbors in the holiday season.
As per the release, GRACE which was founded in 1987 offers medical services, emergency- assistance programs, food, transitional-housing placements, clothing and various other vital-services to over 4,500 individuals & families annually. GRACE’s executive director, Shonda Schaefer said that this is a huge blessing for the organization. Due to Exxon Mobil Corporation (NYSE:XOM)’s generosity, they will be able to create opportunities and hope for 500 more families.
Tillerson had established this holiday gift in 2006 specifically to provide support to the North Texas nonprofit-agencies in the holiday season. The Children’s Advocacy Center in Denton County, Irving Cares, Interfaith Housing Coalition, Lena Pope Home, St. Philip’s School and Community Center, Presbyterian Night Shelter of Tarrant County, and Vogel Alcove are the past recipients.
