Exelis Inc (NYSE:XLS) stock shows decreasing trend

Boston, MA 10/04/2013 (wallstreetpr) – Exelis Visual Information Solutions, Exelis Inc (NYSE:XLS)’s subsidiary develops IDL and ENVI software. It will now deliver data and image visualization analysis-software packages to NASA via a BPA. This blanket purchase agreement consolidates over 800 different contracts in 1 annual-transaction. It will save the agency resources and time in its license-administration. It also makes IDL and ENVi more easily accessible to contractors who are researching different climate related issues. NASA employees will also be benefited by the easy access they will have to these systems.

Exelis Visual Information Solutions’ president, Jaye Lampe said that NASA has been using the company’s software for more than 3 decades now and these systems have helped NASA push the limits of discovery and scientific exploration on earth as well as in space. He said that the company is proud that they can help make geospatial data and imagery an integral-part of the organization’s mission.
