EPIX, the premium entertainment network has renewed its distribution deal with Frontier Communications Corp (NASDAQ:FTR).
According to the EVP Content Distribution Representative, Sandy Ashendorf, the partnership between the two organizations has enabled EPIX to access a wider range of audiences across the nation. EPIX will continue partnering with Frontier to deliver the high quality and excellent services that meet the customers’ needs and requirements.
Frontier Communications, a leading company in providing advanced communications services to its consumers has over the years been renowned for delivering the best services and technology products to the large market. Their association with EPIX will exceed their promise to their potential customers through providing of competitive products and services that add value to the end users. Their customers will now have access to the most hit movies with thousands of titles and a wide range of high quality and original shows.
EPIX, the leading company in multiplatform availability will offer the Frontier consumers a wide variety of premium content including its unique and much-admired series known as Berlin Station and the Get Shorty the Golden Globe which was recently nominated at Graves and coming up this year. Other hit movies include the original and inventive programming documentaries such as the America Divided, The Hunger Games, James Bond and Star Trek. These and other movies that are in high demand will be availed to the Frontier customers in addition to the wide range of music and comedy events that features the marquee talents including the Katy Perry, Wanda Sykes, and Louis CK and others.
The Frontier’s 1.4 million customers will have the chance to subscribe to the EPIX, EPIX 2, EPIX Hits and EPIX Drive-In either in packages or as individuals. Once the users confirm the payment of the products they will have an access to the EPIX content on the company’s website and its app on various devices.
The two companies, however, did not disclose their financial terms of their agreement.
Early this month, the Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer (MGM) had promised to obtain the full ownership of EPIX. The transaction is still waiting for regulatory approval and after the agreement to purchase the interests held by Viacom, Paramount and Lionsgate is attained.
