Boston, MA 10/07/2014 – According to reports, E I Du Pont De Nemours And Co (NYSE:DD) is looking forward to supplying sustainable refrigerants. It will be used in approximate 7 million cars by the end of next year. As per the information, HFO-1234yf refrigerant is used in cars for air conditioning. DD expects this refrigerant to be used in close to 3 million cars by the end of 2014 while the number should be more than double of it by the end of next year.

According to him, most of the leading car manufacturing companies have started using HFO-1234yf. The number will continue to bolster up in coming months. Not only are the qualities of this refrigerant are making automotive companies use this, but also the initiatives taken by government authorities have also driven its usage. Recently European Commission reinforced the decision of using HFO-1234yf due to its sustainability and other advantages. Apart from it, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency also supported HFO-1234yf over other refrigerants.
E I Du Pont De Nemours And Co (NYSE:DD) is all set to supply HFO-1234yf, which it markets as DuPont Opteon YF refrigerant across Europe and United States. It is looking to get in touch with service industry players and automotive companies initially. There is no other company that has established HFO-1234yf before DD. The company first established its plants in Japan and China. Last year it made announcements regarding capacity expansions, so fat the company is right on track. DD is capable of fulfilling the demand of its clients as of now. It has sufficient resources available to expand operations if demand increases for long term in the future.
