With the new appointment of Price in the Board, the total number of Dollar General Corp. (NYSE:DG)’s Board stands at eight. Price will work as audit committee financial expert. Dollar General, CEO and Chairman Rick Dreiling stated that the company is delighted to have Paula in the board of Directors. She has got the broad financial experience as she has worked as CFO with Ahold USA and has remained a part of several public companies. Her expertise will act as a strong base in the growth of the company.

Paula A. Price is working as Senior Lectures at Harvard Business School. She looks after the Accounting and Management Unit. She has been the Vice President and the CFO of Ahold USA for more than four years. Before her role in Ahold, she has stayed the Senior VP, Controller and CAO at CVS Caremark Corporation for almost two years. Apart from it she had remained in board of Directors of various firms. She is an MBA from the University of Chicago. She completed her BS from DePaul University.
The expansion plans
Dollar General Corp. (NYSE:DG) also plans to open the tenth store in Craven County. The new store will be built on 9,400-square-foot building on 1.6 acres. It will be located close to the Craven-Carteret county line. Dollar General holds a significant position in the world of discount retailers. The company is moving with its strategic plans of placing small stores in key areas for easy and convenient access of rural and metropolitan communities.
