Boston, MA 06/03/2014 (wallstreetpr) – The leading energy producer and marketing company Chesapeake Energy Corporation (NYSE:CHK) earned news for itself because of some unwanted reasons. According to a recently published news, Fort Worth school district filed a case against the energy giant CHK. According to the spokesperson of Fort Worth School, the Chief Executive Officer of CHK deducted its own expenses without any notification from the school owned royalties. He said that the way CHK deducted those expenses was completely unorganized and improper. After going through the entire issue, the management of Fort Worth School decided to file a lawsuit against CHK.
According to a representative of Fort Worth School,” Chesapeake Energy Corporation (NYSE:CHK) by all means had potentially shortened the Fort Worth School through all the possible forms of gamesmanship.” He further added,” They try to hide everything that is going on, and yet they are accountable for the money that they will have to pay.”
A lawsuit has been filed against Chesapeake Energy Corporation (NYSE:CHK) and its CEO at the same time. According to Ralph Duggins,” Both CHK and its Chief Financial Officer are equally responsible for everything; hence we have decided to file lawsuit against both of them.” When asked from the CHK’s sportsperson Gordon Pennoyer about the matter, he didn’t give any comment at all. His silence revealed a lot of things. Company also decided not to comment on the issue of deducting expenses from royalty payments, and said that things will be revealed at the right time.
In the previous year, almost half a dozen companies in the same area have filed lawsuits for diverse reasons. Please note that CHK promised Fort Worth School royalties without any cost at the time of signing lease, but they didn’t meet their promises. Now as the issue has gone in court, things might become worse in coming days. All the investors will have to wait for to know the result of a lawsuit.
