Boston, MA 10/03/2014 (wallstreetpr) – DIRECTV (NASDAQ:DTV) announced that it has struck an agreement with the National Football League to extend and expand exclusive rights to carry Sunday ticket. The fresh multi-year agreement also included its every Sunday afternoon package of out-of-market game.
Expands Rights
The latest agreement comes in the wake of the current four-year agreement is on the course of expiry. Viewers were allowed to witness out-of-market game every Sunday afternoon, its statement indicated.
The deal also provided DIRECTV (NASDAQ:DTV) with rights to live stream the NFL Sunday Ticket on mobile devise too and also through broadband, which was termed as NFL SUNDAY TICKET.TV. However, the company has not disclosed any special terms of the deal.
According to the new NFL SUNDAY TICKET accord, DIRECTV (NASDAQ:DTV) would continue to provide all out-of-market games in HD on every Sunday afternoon. The company indicated that its customers, who buy NFL SUNDAY TICKET MAX, would also gain entry to the mobile/online service to watch their games practically from any gadget. Its customers could also watch a Game Mix channel with a maximum of eight games on one screen.
DIRECTV said that both the new DIRECTV FANTASY ZONE channel and RED ZONE CHANNEL besides Short Cuts provides replays of every Sunday game without any commercial interruption.
Extension Of Rights
The digital television entertainment company would also continue its broadcast of its RED ZONE CHANNEL apart from new DIRECTV FANTASY ZONE channel, which debuted in the latest season. Both the parties have also agreed to extend their NFL network distribution alliance. As a result, DIRECTV would offer its customers with an access to NFL network anytime for TV Everywhere practically from any gadget.
