Delta Airlines, Inc. (NYSE:DAL) Kicks off Seattle-Hong Kong Direct Flights

Boston, MA 06/19/2014 (wallstreetpr) – Delta Airlines, Inc. (NYSE:DAL) continues to strengthen its position as a premier passenger carrier in the Seattle hub after launching nonstop flights to Hong Kong from the city. The Hong Kong route becomes its ninth long haul international destination from the coastal city. The Flight has been scheduled to depart the Seattle-Tacoma international Airport at 2.24 pm and set for arrival 7.35pm the next day. The return flight, on the other hand, leaves Hong Kong at 10.25 am.

Directs Flights to Operate 6 Days a Week

Direct flights to Hong Kong will operate six days a week with the exception of Sundays, operating on a 234 capacitor Airbus 330-200 aircraft with both business and economy cabins and in-flight Wi-Fi service. Delta Airlines continues to fortify its position in Seattle as a premier carrier for both international and domestic routes relying on the coastal city as its key part for pacific network restructuring.

Delta Airlines, Inc. (NYSE:DAL) has improved its peak day departures by 30% over the past one year and expects to hold the title of the fastest growing airline in the coastal town by the end of the year. The airline has already made known its intention to add skiing destinations like Spokane and Bozeman from Seattle as its flight routes.

Hong Kong Growth Opportunities

Hong Kong continues to grow as a key financial hub in Asia of which the airline would wish to play a key role in tapping the corporate customers who travel to and from the destination. Plans to lure more customers has seen the airline launch double miles promotion for SkyMiles members from Seattle. The promotion will essentially allow customers collect double miles while flying to and from the city.

Delta Airlines, Inc. (NYSE:DAL) already expects its profitability levels to grow even further in New York as expansion of operations continues at LaGuardia and JFK International airport. The airline has already added 123 new aircrafts consequently increasing its capacity by 50% since March 2012.
