Citigroup Inc. (NYSE:C) Among Several Others In The Finance Industry To Report New Appointments

Boston, MA 02/04/2014 (wallstreetpr) – On Feb 3, Citigroup Inc. (NYSE:C) said in a memo, that it has appointed one of its leading corporate bankers as the chief of its U.K. operations.

According to the memo, James Bardrick, who is with Citigroup since 1987, will replace Maurice Thompson, the former SG Warburg global chief of equity capital markets. Thompson, who has been running the Citigroup’s UK franchise since 2012, has resigned in order to pursue his interests outside the banking and finance industry, the memo said.

New switch for Badrick

For the last four years, Badrick has been managing Citigroup’s corporate and investment banking in the Middle East, Europe and Africa (EMEA). All this time, he had been working alongside Manuel Falco, the former Iberia banking head.  The duties in his new role will include managing the bank’s ties with British regulators and government such as the Financial Conduct Authority and Prudential Regulation Authority. The nature of Badrick’s new duties is similar to those demonstrated globally in his previous position.

Other than Citigroup

Apart from Citigroup Inc. (NYSE:C), some other changes in the financial services industry were announced on Monday. The announcement included news from Standard Chartered Plc which reported to appoint Mohsin Nathani as its United Arab Emirates’ CEO, replacing Jonathan Morris. Other new event was reported by RBC Wealth Management. A unit of the RBC Capital Markets LLC has appointed financial adviser from Wells Fargo Advisors, James Leslie.

At Aon Plc also, there has been a change whereby the resident managing director of the Citigroup Inc. (NYSE:C)’s The Capital operation, Otis Tolbert is to take over the new role of Aon Risk Solutions’ practice leader. Also the insurance and reinsurance services company is to appoint Rick DeCoster as the lead strategic account manager. Another one in the financial industry which came up with like changes is Hermes funds Managers. Former CEO at law firm Latham and Watkins is to join Hermes Equity Ownership Services as commercial director.
