Cisco Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ:CSCO) Stock Among The Best In The Tech Industry

Boston, MA 10/30/2013 (wallstreetpr) – Cisco Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ:CSCO) is arguably among the best companies in the tech industry which is worth giving a try in terms of investing. Cisco commands a market cap of about $121.12 billion with its stock trading in the margins of $22.65 a share. The company currently pays its shareholders $0.68 a share with its annual dividends yielding 3%. Its shares have been rising since the last summer increasing by more than 50%.Cisoco currently boosts of a higher meaningful intrinsic value than its share price thus allowing investors to pay low growth premiums to access its earnings.

 Compared to its competitors, Cisco was to return 32% with Qualcomm QCOM gaining by 23% and LM Ericson gaining by 22%. Its stock is being watched by many analysts as it is viewed to have the potential of massively growing in the coming years. Cisco currently boosts of a year’s high of $26.49 and a low of $16.68 on its stock price. The company is currently boosting of an increase of 183%, a number of traders who put options on its stock. This is a high as compared to the average volume of 17,900 with CISCO able to acquire over 50,700 traders.

There have been some revelations that Cisco might be planning to end an OEM deal with Polycom, in the deal Cisco was responsible for supplying Polycom with conferencing phones. The revelations have made Polycom stock to tick lower than expected. Cisco and Polycom are currently engaged in a fierce rivalry in an attempt of trying to gain a sizeable market share. It is estimated that Cisco had videoconferencing equipment totaling 41% of the market while Polycom had only 29.2%; as a result Cisco equipment sales suffered a massive blow by declining by 7.5% while Polycom declined by 14.8%. The collapse of the deal looks set to considerably affect Polycom 2014 revenue collection
