Ceragon Networks Ltd (NASDAQ:CRNT) Gets Follow-On Orders For Its Evolution Long-Haul

Boston, MA 10/01/2014 (wallstreetpr) – Provider of wireless backhaul solutions, Ceragon Networks Ltd (NASDAQ:CRNT), disclosed that it has got follow-on orders to take the year-to-date order value to more than $50 million from international Tier 1 operator that serves 20 nations in Africa and Asia.

Follow-On Order

According to the company’s statement to the media, its Evolution Long-Haul solution would offer scope to expand the operator’s mobile reach in Africa’s eight national markets. Similarly, in Asia, its all-out-door know-how and FibeAir solutions would be utilized to both expanding the current 3G services, as well as, help the upgrade process to high-speed 4G or LTE networks.

African Mobile Broadband

Ceragon Networks Ltd (NASDAQ:CRNT) pointed out that mobile broadband market in Africa was witnessing a rapid pace of growth. It cited Ovum, a market research organization, to suggest that mobile broadband penetration would witness a growth of more than 45% or 522 million by 2017 from a mere 12% or 95 million subscribers existed in the last year in the region.

Similarly, in Asia, which represents half of the mobile subscribers worldwide, would be adding over 1.5 billion users of mobile broadband in the same period to take the total to 2.7 billion subscribers.

Ceragon’s President and CEO, Ira Palti, said that the two key markets of Asia and Africa continue to develop at a faster rate. He said he was excited to be part of the growing international network expansion projects.
