Boston, MA 06/05/2014 (wallstreetpr) – CenturyLink, Inc. (NYSE:CTL) grabbed a prestigious contract sponsored by the MCCS to provide virtual private network services. MCCS is the U.S. Marine Corps Community Services. It has headquarters in Quantico, Va. CenturyLink will design, buy, configure and upgrade the equipments required to provide the community with a virtual private network. It is a one year contract. The contract value is of $3.5 million. MCCS will acquire a reliable and cost effective private virtual network services. The services will at par with the stringent technical performance standards.
The services
CenturyLink, Inc. (NYSE:CTL) will initially be responsible for providing a virtual private network services. It will also take care of the internet and point-to-point circuits requirements. The internet and point circuits will work as connecting base for the 37 Marine Corps locations spread over the continental U.S.
The quality of network holds great importance as it will support the quality of life services and the other programs for MCCS. These are non-revenue generating MCCS programs. It invests more than $1 billion to fund such MCCS programs. The $1 billion comes from the annual sales of MCCS generated from the business operations.
