(NASDAQ:CY) announced on 13th October that its flag ship “TrueTouch® Gen5 touchscreen controller family” solutions have been upgraded to pack new features and functionality. These new functionalities are designed to help large screen digital devices like smart phones and tablets to be operated, even when users are attempting to use these via gloved figure. The TMA568 controller is one of the newly upgraded solutions. These are designed to provide “hover” support which will allow the touch screens to intelligently anticipate the likely area where the figure would touch the screen and in turn expand the specific content. The company believes that this feature would allow users to read maps and other such tasks a lot easier.
Fresh and broad-line supply solutions provider Core-Mark Holding Company, Inc. (NASDAQ:CORE) and U.S. Oil made a joint declaration on 13th October announcing the launch of the fist GAIN CLEAN fuel station in Colorado. The two firms plan to open four more such CNG stations across U.S over the next few months. Core-Mark Holding Company, Inc. (NASDAQ:CORE) already operates two such compressed natural gas stations in U.S in Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania and Corona, California respectively. The jointly run CNG stations are likely to come up in North Carolina, Georgia, Florida and Arkansas. Core-Mark Holding Company, Inc. (NASDAQ:CORE) has over the years made a conscious effort to convert its traditional trucks powered by gasoline into CNG powered vehicles.
Raytheon Company (NYSE:RTN) UK division has announced the launching of a new upgraded version of its much touted global positioning system used by armed forces during armed combat. These new GPS systems have been equipped with anti-jam (GPS-AJ) capability the firm announced. The news was made public at the ongoing AUSA 2014 conference in Washington. The defence supplier disclosed that it has developed the new features to address the need of U.S army to have a “Assured Position Navigation and Timing (APNT) program of record.”
