Building A Windows 10 Robot Thanks To Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT)

Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) finally rolled out its robotic kit. The kit made its debut at the Microsoft Build conference along with a free IoT core review.

Towards the end of the session, Microsoft employees dished out the robot kit with Raspberry Pi 2 kit which means the robot will run on the Windows 10 interface. The kit contains various parts such as; an Xbox 360 controller, a wooden robot frame, ball caster, wires, switch, two continuous rotation servos, HDMI CORD, Raspberry Pi 2 model B, censors, breadboard, USB-Ethernet adaptor and a toolkit among a few other gadgets.

Additionally it also comes with a user guide for assistance since it is a build-it-yourself device. The robot kit is one of the company’s ways of giving back to the society as well as promoting creativity. It is in-line with Microsoft’s activities for promoting growth through technology among other technologically driven aspects.

The release of the robot kit is also aimed at encouraging developers to engage further into coding languages for robotic interfaces. According to the company directors, this is supposed to spearhead and consolidate the robotics industry. Tandy Trower, who is Microsoft’s robotic group general manager, said that the robotics studio was released at the ideal time when the robotics industry is not consolidated. This means that the industry lacks the united resources in terms of creative mind power.

Trower compared the robotics industry to how the computer industry was three decades ago. The fact that there are no major firms solely focused on robotics results in the lack of an organized structure for focused programming and development on robotics aspects. Thus the resultant slow pace for the potentially influential industry.

Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) recently established that despite being a major worldwide sensation in the technology front, the robotics industry has so far been unable to find a solid existence structure in the society. Other industries such as the smartphone industry have made success and have a massive impact in the world.
