Boston, MA 06/20/2014 (wallstreetpr) – Pulse Electronics Corporation introduced the I-Bar HOT ROD chokes for automotive networks. HOT ROD product is a new concept to provide protection to both EMC and EMI for automotive electronics.
Efficient Product
The I-Bar HOT ROD chokes are designed to meet Broadcom Corporation (NASDAQ:BRCM)’s BroadR-Reach Automotive Ethernet technology that can use for the conversion of mode up to 400 MHz. AE2000 is the first part of HOT ROD series designs to address the need of 100 Mbps BroadR-Reach automotive Ethernet transceivers. The chokes will use to suppress the noise arising on the Ethernet-based networks.
AE2000 device is smaller and lighter in weight and resistant over high temperature compared to the currently available products. It will eliminate the use of single twisted pair cable, which is more expensive and unshielded. Automotive manufacturers can reduce their connectivity costs and provide a light cabling through this device.
Strategic Partnership
Pulse is a leading electronic components provider that produces high quality and innovative products. Pulse offers solutions to industries like automotive, military and aerospace and wireless and wireline communications. The Company continues to develop new components for next generation Ethernet-based application-specific technology. The new products will address the emerging standard of Audio Video Bridging over one-pair Ethernet and support single twisted pair Ethernet.
The automotive industry has already accepted Broadcom Corporation (NASDAQ:BRCM)’s BroadR-Reach Ethernet technology as a standard tool for the electronic connectivity for their automotive. The addition of Pulse’s AE2000 into the Ethernet ecosystem will further provide more option for implementers and increase the opportunity to use Ethernet into a broad range of vehicles. The chokes are available in tape and reel format.
