Aramark (NYSE:ARMK)’s New Healthcare Center To Serve As An Integrated Center Of Excellence

Boston, MA 10/09/2014 (wallstreetpr) – Aramark (NYSE:ARMK) has established a Healthcare Technology & Innovation Center which is located in Charlotte, North Carolina.

According to PR Newswire article, the company seeks to etch out new efficient methods for hospitals to leverage clinical equipment. The move is sync with the fact that clinical equipment assets make up an important part of hospital revenue.

Aramark (NYSE:ARMK) is not only a global provider of uniforms services and food management, but also the biggest independent provider of imaging and diagnostic services in North America. The $14 billion company now seeks to position itself more firmly so as to provide cost effective and versatile clinical equipment management schemes. It endeavors to enhance its expertise in research and development and also centralize its engineering and training capabilities. It further seeks to integrate the Aramark organization responsible for sourcing clinical equipment parts into one unit of excellence.

Aramark (NYSE:ARMK)’s new Center is 105,000 square foot and employs over 140 people. Some of its major features include simulated patient care suites that support over 32 Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Computed Tomography Scan, X-Ray systems and Catheterization Lab. Another important feature of the Center is that it will integrate the company’s fully owned ReMedPar organization, which is a leading provider of imaging and diagnostic equipment components. Aramark’s inventory that has over $40 million parts is a 90,000 square foot facility which is equipped with the quality control design.

The state-of-the-art Center will be managed by a set of skilled and capable software and testing engineers. Its remote monitoring facilities will allow engineers to digitally interface with individual equipment installed within the company’s client locations. It will allow them to monitor and troubleshoot issues in real-time. In addition, the Center will support a 24×7 customer service center.

Aramark (NYSE:ARMK) seeks to integrate its expertise in all subject matters, ranging from supply chain to research and development through the new Center.
