Apart from the Maps application of Apple, yet another application called iTunes Radio, which was alike Pandora Media Inc (NYSE:P)’s has also seen an upward trend.

Apple’s flourishing apps

Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOGL)’s maps app is still trending at the number 1 position with 64 million users, but Apple has still managed to grab the competition nicely with 42 million users. Apart from this, iTunes Radio, which went through the modification phase since its inauguration in 2013, has also seen approximately 41 million users in the U.S. alone, in contrast with 69 million users of Pandora Media Inc (NYSE:P). The total figures mentioned here are inclusive of not just iPhones, but also Android, even though the company is not offering its apps on Android.

The success of these apps is demonstrative of the fast-gaining powerful Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) brand and also iOS ecosystem. It was found out recently that among all the smartphones users in the States, 67.4 million or 44.5% were those who use iPhone.

Apple’s Clever Move of Apps Promotion

It is quite interesting to see that Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) has the capability of promoting its new apps cleverly by installing them already in new iPhones and also impregnating the older models with these new apps by way of software upgrade. The apps offered by Apple, nevertheless, have become a huge success but this scenario is not applicable to all its apps. For instance, the messaging app of Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) is not included in the list of top 25 of Comscore. But, other messaging apps like Facebook Messenger, Snapchat and Skype make it to this list easily.
