Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) is bringing its Apple Store online on September 23 in India, offering various Apple products and services directly to consumers in the world’s second-largest smartphone market.
Apple customers to get an extended warranty for two years
This will be the first time the company is bringing services close to India’s consumers in over 20 years in the country. The online Apple store will offer customers the same high-quality experience found in other places worldwide and will be delivered by an expert team online. The company has been relying on third-party offline and online retailers to sell products in the country.
Apple indicated that customers will now access AppleCare+, which will extend the warranty on hardware products for around two years. They will also have a trade-in program that will allow consumers to access discounts on new iPhones by returning their previous ones. Customers will be able to purchases customized Macs.
Deirdre O’Brien, the company’s SVP Retail and People, said that they were delighted to expand in India, and they are ready to do everything to support customers in the country. O’Brien said that they know that users use tech to be connected, tap into creativity, and engage in learning. Therefore, launching the Apple Store in India will be a huge benefit for customers.
Discounts for students on Apple products
The iPhone maker indicates ion its website that it will be offering financing options to customers in the country and will also give students additional discounts on their products and accessories. Students can buy iPad and Mac at special pricing with discounts on accessories plus AppleCare+. As of next month, customers can check free music and photography sessions online from creative.
If they wish to have a text or emoji will be engraved to their AirPods in different Indian languages like Gujarati, Hindi, Bengali, Marathi, Tamil, Kannada, and Telugu. Those who will wish to have the engraving in English will be available for Apple Pencil and iPad.
