However, Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) made big leap inroads to corporate circles by its contract with automotive giant Ford Motor Company (NYSE:F). The contract would entail supply of 3K iPhone handsets to the Ford employees initially and a 6K handsets replacing BlackBerry by the year 2015. Ford looks to eventually move away from BlackBerry to iPhone and enabling all its employee base of 181K with the same in early future. Ford states that Apple iPhone is better suitable for lifestyle of its employees, both for professional and domestic purposes.
Keeping customers focused
Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) identified another pocket of sales of its products in the form of “Sales Tax Holidays” that are granted by several states in the U.S. Sales Tax Holidays give relief to the buyers from paying state sale tax on select products. Some of the states that offer this include Florida, Alabama, Louisiana, South Carolina, Georgia, Massachusetts, Missouri and New Mexico and the period begins from August 1. Apple is guiding its customers from its website as to how to purchase its products online by taking advantage of these holidays.
Apple Reduces Price of MacBook
In a bid to capture more market and increase sales, Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) announced cut in the price of its non-Retina 13 inch MacBook Pro by INR 11,000 to INR 78,900 inclusive of VAT. The MacBook Pro is very popular with Windows switchers and now comes with faster processors and doubled the memory. The new version of 13 inch MacBook Pro is available with a 2.5 GHz quad core Intel Core i5 processor with Turbo boost speed up to 3.1 GHz, Intel HD Graphics 4000, 500 GB hard drive and 4GB memory.
Apple Innovating to Produce Better Apps
Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) recently launched Swift programming language besides iOS and OS X Yosemite operating systems at a Worldwide Developer Conference. The Chief executive of Apple, Tim Hook, mentioned that this would be a huge leap forward for the whole iOS ecosystem. Swift programming language was developed in partnership with International Business Machines Corp. (NYSE:IBM). Swift is a result of extensive research on programming languages and is easy to use tool for programmers and developers to build innovated apps.
