Apache Corporation (NYSE:APA) Donates 4,000 Trees to Louisiana Planting

Boston, MA 06/09/2014 (wallstreetpr) – Apache Corporation (NYSE:APA) made an announcement informing that the company has donated 4,000 trees to Hike for KaTREEna. This generous donation from Apache Corporation helped the organization to achieve its goal of planting 25,000 trees in New Orleans.

The students of MBA program from Tulane University planted the donated trees during the “Give NOLA Day” of Hike for KaTREEna. Among the planted trees, a Southern Magnolia was the 25,000th tree planted by Hike for KaTREEna to date. In front of the historic site of St. Louis Cathedral and Cabildo, the 25,000th tree was planted.

Hike for KaTREEna’s Director Connie Uddo thanked Apache Corporation for making the city look so good and green. Connie further added that Hike for KaTREEna thanks Apache Corporation TREEmendously for everything the Apache Corporation does.

What’s Hike for KaTREEna?

This non-profit organization Hike for KaTREEna is dedicated to replant trees in New Orleans. The objective of the NGO is to cover up the loss of trees that were devastated by Hurricane Katrina. The total contribution made by Apache Corporation to the NGO Hike for KaTREEna has reached the figure of 13,500 after Apache Corporation’s 2014 generous donation.

The green donations of Apache Corporation

This planting season alone, Apache Corporation (NYSE:APA) has donated more than 250,000 trees, helping 47 organizations to turn New Mexico, Louisiana, Texas and Oklahoma green. 4,000 trees were awarded to the city of Moore, Oklahoma through the Tree Bank Foundation. The city is working hand in hand with “Keep Moore County Beautiful” to compensate the tree loss done by recent tornado.

The Arbor Day Foundation is another organization that has received trees from Apache Corporation. Dan Lambe of Arbor Day Foundation thanked Apache Corporation for its support and explained the necessity of tree plantation in New Mexico. He further added how the trees are helpful to the mankind and wildlife.

Working in this direction since 2005, Apache Corporation (NYSE:APA) has awarded around 3.7 million trees to various NGO’s in 16 different US States.
