Android Looses Customers To Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL)’S iPhone 6 In China And Europe

Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) is going big in China and Europe with its bigger screen and feature rich iPhone 6. Apple is causing troubles to the competitors with its latest iPhone 6 debut.

According to the recent reports, the company’s market share for iOS has increased by 1.8% in 1Q2015.

Apple’s smartphones sales are accounted for 20.3% in Germany, Italy, France, Great Britain and Spain. The increase in sales is primarily due to capturing of Android customers.

According to the chief of research, Carolina Milanesi, at Kantar Worldpanel ComTech, Apple’s recent smart phones iPhone 6 Plus and iPhone 6 is on the rampage gaining new customers. The new customers in Europe also include users, who bought Android smartphones earlier.

It is estimated that 32.4% of the new customers of Apple in 1Q2015 were previously Android customers.

Despite losing 3.1% market share, Android still commands lead with 68.4% in the five biggest countries of the Europe.

The market share of Apple increased to 26.1% (up 8.2%) when compared to last year in the urban centers of China. China is consuming more Apple smartphones when compared to the U.S.

Both iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus are offered in Gold, Silver and SpaceGray colors. These models are available with storage capacity of 128GB, 64GB, and 16GB. It supports multiple languages simultaneously. It boasts front side oleophobic coating to avoid finger prints.

Both the models feature iOS8, 64-bit A8 chip, iSight Camera, Video Recording option, WiFi, digital compass, assisted GPS, audio calling and video calling and rechargeable inbuilt   Lithium-ion battery.

Specifications unique to iPhone 6 are 4.7″ Retina HD display, 129 grams weight, a contrast ratio of 1400:1, 326 ppi, multi-touch display and LED backlit wide screen.

iPhone 6 Plus specifications are 5.5″ Retina HD display, 401 ppi, multi-touch display, LED backlit wide screen and weight of 172 grams.
