Airon Corp has licensed its design of ventilators to GE Healthcare, a subsidiary of General Electric Company (NYSE:GE). In 100 days, GE healthcare will produce 50,000 ventilators in alliance with Ford Motor Company (NYSE:F).
The requirement of ventilators surges significantly
The need for ventilators has significantly increased worldwide because the coronavirus has infected 1.85 million people as of April 13, 2020. Ms. Pamela Fry, Vice President of Airon said its partnership with the leading automakers and healthcare firms in the world help to ramp up the production of ventilators in the US. Airon will also ramp up production of ventilators to 30 per day by May 1 2020, from 10 per day as of today at its local manufacturing facility to meet the shortage. Ford and GE Healthcare will also produce additional 30,000 ventilators monthly.
Airon hires more workers
Airon is recruiting more workers to increase the production of ventilators and save the precious lives of several Americans. According to Fry, the company is hiring three workers daily every week. The company will use new employees in testing and calibration works. Airon’s ventilator design doesn’t need batteries or electricity for its operation. The simple and small ventilator operates with air pressure to help an individual to breathe.
Seventy vaccines for coronavirus under development
According to the World Health Organization, three vaccines for coronavirus are undergoing human trials and the balance is in development. However, the outbreak is almost stabilized in the US. The director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, Anthony Fauci said the nation may ease emergency measures in some parts in May 2020.
Coronavirus cases expect to decline in the US
Robert Redfield, Director (CDC) said the coronavirus cases are expected to drop soon. The nation will reopen in prudently slowly. However, he has not set any timeline. In an interview with NBC, he said the nation is nearing the peak.
