AIRBUS GROUP (OTCMKTS:EADSY) Forecasts Industry Needs An Annual Investment Of $4.6 Trillion

Boston, MA 09/26/2014 (wallstreetpr) – AIRBUS GROUP (OTCMKTS:EADSY) has conducted a survey, pronouncing that it expects the aviation industry to require 31,000 new aircraft, worth $4.6 trillion per annum.

AIRBUS GROUP (OTCMKTS:EADSY) presented the findings of its survey, the global market Forecast in a press release yesterday. The company said that according to statistics, as many as three billion passengers and around 50 million tons of cargo is carried by 32 million flights per annum. In an international spectrum, the aviation sector contributes $2.4 trillion in the economy every year.

Economies Affecting Aviation Industry

The findings of the survey established that over a couple of decades, passenger traffic will increase at 4.7% yearly. This would require as many as 31,000 new aircraft every year, which approximates to around $4.6 trillion annually.

Developing markets, such as those of the Middle East, Africa, Latin America and Asia, are showing higher rates of economic growth as compared to the developed regions. Due to more urbanization and concentration of wealth, it is expected that the number of aviation mega-cities across the world will increase two-folds to 91. As centers of world wealth creation, these cities will have around 95% aircrafts’ center points. Advanced economies will show further increase in international traffic.

Airbus’ Position

AIRBUS GROUP (OTCMKTS:EADSY)’ survey marked the increase in need of larger models will continue to grow. It forecasted that the need for as many as 9,300 widebody passenger and cargo aircraft in a short span of only 20 years. The requirement values at almost $2.5 trillion. This demand is expected to include over 7,800 twin aisle aircraft, offering around 250 to 400 seats, and approximately 1,500 very large aircraft, supporting seating arrangement for more than 400 passengers.
