Adjustment In The Conversion Rate Of Annaly Capital Management, Inc. (NYSE:NLY)

In pursuant to the indenture, the conversion rate has been adjusted. It has announced conversion rate of 4.00% senior notes. This has happened in the backdrop of the company’s announcement in the first quarter of 2014 where the cash dividend for common stocks was about $0.30 for each common share.

The new conversion rate with effect from March 28, 2014, for the notes is $12.2079. The previous conversion rate was $12.5411 for each share. The conversion rate for each note of $1,000 principal amount is 81.9145 for company’s common share. This figure was previously 79.7379 for company’s common share. The notice of the same was delivered to the security holders, the trustee, the Wells Fargo Bank and the national association. The company is carrying out this process with an objective to generate a net income for the distribution among its shareholders.

Announcement of the 1st quarter dividend

With the adjustment of the conversion rate in progress, the company has announced the first quarter 2014 dividend which stands at $0.30 per Share. The company reportedly, distributes dividends basing upon the estimates of the taxable earnings for each common share. This dividend is collectively payable to the shareholders on April 1, 2014. Ex-dividend date is now scheduled for March 28; 2014.

Annaly Capital Management, Inc. (NYSE:NLY) would start trading ex-dividend on March 28, 2014. Moreover, the payment is decided to be paid on April 30, 2014. The shareholders who had purchased NLY stock before the ex-dividend date would be eligible for the payment of a cash dividend. Now this has marked a net decrease of 33.33% from the figure, the same time, a year ago.
