Boston, MA 10/14/2014 (wallstreetpr) – According to reports, Bulgaria National Military Forces have decided to acquire ten additional four-wheeled commando armored vehicles of Textron Inc. (NYSE:TXT). The announcement was made by TXT itself saying that it had agreed to enter into a sales contract with U.S. Army Contracting Command, Warren, Mich. Bulgaria National Military Forces and TXT have finalized the armored vehicle deal in $15.22 billion. Apart from the ten armored vehicles, TXT will also offer technical and hardware services to Bulgaria National Military Forces. As per the information, a major reason behind deployment of these additional vehicles is nothing but help of International Security Assistance Force in Afghanistan.
Insights of the deal:
Work will be done in Hunt Valley, Md. Slidell, La. and Afghanistan areas. If everything goes as per plans, then all the vehicles will be delivered in 1Q2015. All the activities of this contract are expected to take place by June 30, 2015. Textron Inc. (NYSE:TXT) will deliver three commando selected variants, which will comprise of .50 cal machine guns and co-axially mounted 40mm Mk-19m, control variant with turret and a commando. Apart from these things, the new commando vehicles will also be equipped with an ambulance variant, which will be used for rescuing patients. All the C2 vehicles are integrated with Remote Video Terminal technology of TXT and capable of performing real-time situational awareness from a wide range of sources and systems.
