It said that Microsoft is a competitor to its business now. But almost all the people know this already.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The company sells devices, services, and software, and Microsoft sells these things also. So, there would be a string of competitiveness between them.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Chief Executive Officer of the company, Meg Whitman, quoted that \u201cthe current partners of the company like Microsoft and Intel are now turning to outright competitors from being partners.\u201d Microsoft is no longer\u00a0satisfied by selling software to corporate clients, partners, and the public. As it is switching over to devices and services, the companies that were its partners are now becoming adversaries.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">As a company, Microsoft claims it loves its OEM partners,\u00a0which also includes HP, but when asked about its Surface line of tablets,\u00a0its tone shifts. If a person hangs out with the teams of Microsoft, they will see an increasing level of surface usage which will overtake the former pre-eminence of ThinkPad among the employees of the company. Microsoft has to say that it remains committed to its partners because it cannot afford to undermine its partners by making them invest a billion of dollars in their own competing products.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">So, in this case, it is the filed statement and a firm smile from Microsoft. The 330,000 strong workforce of Hewlett Packard is in the process of a multi-year, promised transformation.\u00a0The company has to show clarity to the investors who remain skeptical, given its current market capitalization. Before, while HP was gung-ho for Windows 8, now it discusses a multi-OS strategy. However, markets shift and relationships change.
