The 52-week price range of company\u2019s stock stood at $7.27 to $18.32.<b><\/b><\/p>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p>The company has been battling with falling market share, and the company has now been in talks after the proposed buyer of the company, Fairfax Financial\u2019s CEO Prem Watsa is seen to be keen to save the company. This comes at the back of not only financial reasons, but also a bonding the company has made with every Canadian, explains Watsa. The company is still seen to have business n the market, which has been in talks to return to its traditional market of business customers.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">This can also be seen as an initiative by Watsa to take control of the ailing company, whom he had been eyeing for quite some time. The deal is pegged at around $4.7 billion, which itself explains as to why the person has struck an emotional chord to put this deal through.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">However, if the emotional aspect is set aside, one has to do enough due diligence to look at the feasibility of such buyout, especially at a time when the company posted a revenue drop of 49%, leading to a loss of $965 million. When considered from the prospects of \u00a0a nation\u2019s economy, such losses would only result in drain of a nations\u2019 hard earned money, which should then be a bigger reason to not let the deal put through, if the interests of the Canadians are of utmost importance.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The company, despite being affected by wrong management decisions, matched with a co-opted board of directors is optimistic about a revival. Thousands of jobs will be lost in the current process.
